The SPCA of Texas is located in the North Texas area and we respond to cases of animal cruelty in the following Texas counties: Hunt and Van Zandt. You can learn more about how we work and our service area.

For alleged animal cruelty outside of our service area, the Sheriff’s office in that county is the entity charged to uphold all laws there. Even in the counties we serve, we work in collaboration with law enforcement and do not oversee their efforts. Please reach out directly to the Sheriff’s Department in the county where you are concerned about animal abuse or neglect  with any concerns you have regarding their investigation. You may also reach out to the County Commissioners Court if you are not getting a response from the Sheriff’s Office.
